Based on a creepypasta, the Backrooms brings a nostalgic feeling of being lost in endless piles of empty rooms with fluorescent lights at full hum-buzz.
You have to find your way out, but of course, some "friends" don't want you to leave. If you don't "wake up" in time, your nightmares will drown you.
"If you're not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in.
God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you."
A horror game, but with full lights on!

Remove the time limit, then this would be okay at the very least. My issue isn't that this is sound-based, but the fact that it's super slow and you never see the entity that supposedly sees you at random. Like, you could stay in a corner and NEVER see the entity and have it never see you. But when venturing through the game? You can never see it, but it can see you at anytime. That kills the mood of the backrooms.

Very immersive and atmospheric horror game. It's rather simple but the gameplay is surprisingly unique and the game looks pretty good. map design is great too, pretty easy to get lost (which is good for a Backrooms game). Great adaptation of source material as well. not to mention it is very replayable because of difficulties, game modes, and achievements. AND its actually pretty scary. By far the best Backrooms game you can find for android so I highly recommend.

Not too bad, I will say. I love the game in general. There are a few things that, in my opinion, could be changed for the better. Get rid of the timer, make the entity more aggressive and frequent as you get further, change the objects to be only doors or tunnels or maybe even portals so "escaping" makes more sense, only allow the helpful eye on easy mode, make the entity appear sometimes further away and sometimes peeking around corners, make it actually chase you sometimes, stuff like that.

Thanks for the review! You can play without the timer in the free mode. There are difficulty settings for more aggressive *enemies. (entity is a lore specific phrase and this game isn't based on that) The eye is also not that helpful to be considered a guide to be removed in higher difficulties. Try my new game called "Backrooms: The Lore" as well.
